Where we work
Based in Hewlett, out across Nassau and into Suffolk. Grouped below by how exposed the houses are, because that's what decides which materials we'd put on your roof.
Oceanfront
Salt spray, and wind with nothing in front of it.
Long Beach
We do not install standard-gauge aluminum on the ocean side of Long Beach. Between the salt and the wind, the money you save on the hardware you spend again inside five years.
Long Beach detailsBay and canal
Salt air off the bay, and water that has to go somewhere.
Woodmere
The parts of Woodmere nearest the channel get real salt exposure. On those streets we push harder for heavier-gauge aluminum or copper, because the cheap hangers do not last.
Woodmere detailsOceanside
On the canals we expect to find corroded hangers and spikes long before the gutter itself has failed. Replacing the hardware and keeping the run is often the honest answer.
Oceanside detailsBaldwin
North Baldwin is a tree-and-gutter-clog problem. South Baldwin, toward the water, is a salt-and-wind problem. We quote them differently because they are different jobs.
Baldwin detailsFreeport
Where a downspout discharges matters more in Freeport than almost anywhere. Dumping it at the base of a foundation that already sits low is how you turn a gutter problem into a basement problem.
Freeport detailsMerrick
The waterfront streets need corrosion-resistant hardware. The northern streets mostly need their gutters cleared before the leaves finish falling. Very few contractors bother distinguishing.
Merrick detailsBellmore
The bayside houses take wind on the rear elevation year-round. That is where end caps let go and where the fasteners give up first, so that is where we start the inspection.
Bellmore detailsInland village
Mature trees, and the gutters that pay for them.
Hewlett
Hewlett sits back from the water enough that corrosion is not the first problem — the trees are. Older homes here carry a lot of canopy, and the gutters fill fast between October and December.
Hewlett detailsCedarhurst
Village homes here often have detailed trim and multiple roof planes. That means more valleys and more flashing joints, which is where leaks actually start.
Cedarhurst detailsValley Stream
When an entire block was built at once, the roofs age at once too. We see a lot of twenty-five-year-old architectural shingle here that has one more winter in it, and we will tell you when that is the case rather than sell you a roof early.
Valley Stream detailsLynbrook
Tight setbacks make access the real variable on a Lynbrook job. We roll seamless gutter on site, so the run comes off the truck at the length it needs to be rather than being carried in sections.
Lynbrook detailsRockville Centre
Complex roofs fail at the joins, not in the field. On the bigger RVC houses we spend most of the inspection on valleys, chimney flashing, and the transitions between roof planes.
Rockville Centre detailsNot on the list?
These are the towns we cover most often, not the limit of where we’ll go. If you’re on the Island, ask.
